Every person deserves a chance to share their life story and this is an opportunity to do that. What’s included:

Couple Interview - $1,500
This is a fun chance to have a couple share their life story in the way they know how — together. What’s included:
Consultation meeting to create an interview plan, including story prompts and production logistics
A professionally recorded, in-person interview with a couple
Delivery of a digital copy of the interview
Legacy Documentary - $15,000
This is our premium service. We will work with your family to create a legacy documentary of an individual or couple. What’s included:
Consultation meeting to create an interview plan, including story prompts and production logistics
Professionally recorded, in-person interview(s) with an individual or couple
Conversion of family physical media into digital form
Archival research at historical societies
Recording original video of up to 5 personally important locations
Recording session(s) of an individual or couple doing their hobbies
Editing together a legacy documentary
Two revision sessions

About Us
Inherited Stories® was founded in September 2019 by Dietrich Nissen, an Emmy Award®-recipient storyteller.
He was inspired to offer families a way to preserve their loved one’s stories after witnessing his grandma’s battle with dementia.
As an advocate of intergenerational relationship-building, he has found the work of Inherited Stories to be a great opportunity for people of all ages to connect, share, pass on and celebrate their lived experiences in a meaningful way.
The company is currently based in Edina, Minnesota and is positioned to serve families within the Upper Midwest of the United States.
